The Tell Board Project

A celebration in images for the 50th Anniversary celebration of the City of Palm Desert. It is an installation of an 8-foot-high, 40-foot long tell board of photographs contributed by the people living, working, studying, and visiting Palm Desert. People are invited to submit their photos via the celebration website. I created an initial installation of over 150 photos. On the day of the celebration at the Palm Desert Civic Center Park, people are invited to add their photos to the wall by using the printer on site. As people were finding or posting their photos, they shared stories and memories inspired by their photos with one another, bringing the Palm Desert community closer together.
